Campus Admin is a role in AdRx that allows a user to do important tasks for their entire campus, such as create, manage, and close AdRx profiles; create and assign AdRx groups for the purposes of reporting and SAS; create AdRx locations for SAS profiles (such as a new building or a changed building name); and Create new Kiosks, as well as assign users to the Kiosk.

Campus Admins have different AdRx security than Advising Administrators, though some Advising Administrators may have both profiles. While some Campus Admins may be located in larger schools or units and find most requests come from colleagues in those areas, anyone on campus may request help and receive it.

• AdRx account creation or changes (such as capping an old profile when someone transfers from one school to another)
• AdRx group creation or assignment
• Changes to building names or new Buildings for SAS
• New Kiosks or user assignment to Kiosks

Calling All Campus Admins

In 2019, we switched from the old Administrator profiles which gave you very detailed permissions by AdRx group, which meant lots of duplicate work that only one person could do in each unit.

This profile revision freed up anyone with a Campus Admin role to do any necessary work for new or transferring employees easily and without involving other folks on campus and in IT. You may not have needed to touch any of these functions since then, so as a reference, here are instructions with pictures to guide you through every action you can take as a Campus Admin.

Find a Campus Admin from your campus.  If there's someone in your unit/department, that's great.  If not, anyone can help, but try to avoid the alphabet effect of the first person on the list getting all the requests.
