Jennifer Gilles handles the day-to-day administrative activities and provides comprehensive administrative support to the assistant vice presidents in the Office of Completion and Student Success (OCSS) and University Transfer Office (UTO), university-wide offices charged with strategic oversight of IU’s student success and transfer processes.
She communicates with staff, faculty, administrators, and external constituents regarding University Administration policies and procedures, for the two offices, and manages communications for a variety of other matters. In addition, she maintains all calendars and monitors the systems and processes related to ongoing office activities.
Jennifer earned her undergraduate degree in Geology from IU Bloomington in 1984 and worked in geotechnical consulting for 22 years. In 2006, she began working at IUPUI as the Program Coordinator of the Spirit & Place Festival. Spirit & Place promotes civic engagement, respect for diversity, thoughtful reflection, public imagination, and enduring change through creative civic collaboration among arts, humanities, and religion. Jennifer began her current role with OCSS and UTO in 2014.
